Robert Warren Dale Shakespeare

 

On behalf of my wife, Martin's International and IRAWMA (International Reggae and World Music Awards)  we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the legendary, Robert Warren Dale Shakespeare.   He was one-half of  reggae's best rhythm section duo, Sly (drummer) and Robbie (bass). Recipient of more than twenty IRAWMA nominations, multiple winner and Lifetime Honoree,  Sly and Robbie were last honored at the 2019, Martin's International "Reggae50" during the 37th IRAWMA in Kingston, Jamaica.

Robbie Shakespeare left an indelible mark on the reggae and world music community that cannot soon be filled.

Robbie Shakespeare, the acclaimed bassist and record producer, died at the age of 68. As we continue to pray for the family; we say, Rest in Peace (RIP), Robbie.
