Really interesting post. Reggae has such a deep history and it’s cool seeing events like this celebrate the people who helped shape the music over the decades. I didn’t realize the awards were also tied to celebrating “TheReggae50” and honoring artists who helped build reggae since the late 1960s that’s pretty powerful when you think about how far the genre has travelled worldwide. Moments like this also remind me how much culture and music bring people together, especially in places like Kingston where reggae really grew into a global movement.
